Brexit is still very much in the news and everyone’s thoughts as we end 2017. In terms of travel and holidays there is still a lot of uncertainty. If the UK falls out of the EU completely then maybe the EHIC card will cease to exist or Brits.
Are Brits going to lose any travel rights to EU countries? It is expected they will lose freedom of movement, but what about holidays and longer stays on the continent?
Many older and retired people have taken to travelling across the channel in their motorhomes for the winter. As things stand they can pretty much retire in Europe with little hassle and still retain rights to healthcare etc.
If Brits end up under Schengen rules (you can enter EU countries for up to 90 days but you must leave for 90 days) then any extended EU trips might not be possible.
